The Cinema Center Tapio’s lobby and shop spaces were furnished with Palad collections furniture as well as custom-designed furniture. The furniture choices clarified the space and improved the functionality of the space.

From Palad’s standard collection, different sizes of ALKIO stools were chosen. These poufs were originally designed for the needs of Savon Kinot Maxim in Varkaus. The ALKIO stools were upholstered with gold and gray textiles. These color choices harmonize the space with blue-toned surface materials.

The ALKIO poufs were combined with the TUMA-P tables from Palad’s standard collection. One can place movie treats and drinks on the table while waiting for the movie to start. Tables and chairs can be used to form different seat groups in the space, so the space can be easily adapted to different uses and it serves both as a waiting space and as a space for seminars or other events.

Palad designed a custom-made long, upholstered dark blue bench for the wall of the foyer. The roof of the space descends towards the wall, and the bench designed under the sloping roof offers a cozy and sheltered place to rest.

The lobby space was designed with elegant, dimly shimmering gold-colored flap tables attached to the wall. The front edge of the tables can be opened, which quickly provides table space for, for example, intermissions at events. When closed, the tables take up little space and serve as an easy-to-reach level.

Palad’s handprint can also be seen in the store furniture, which Palad custom-designed. The wavy pattern of the gold-toned furniture creates a living surface for the furniture.
