The way we work

The Way We Work – An Empathic Footprint

Shaping the common good. Constant change makes us value sustainability.

Palad furniture creates good by supporting actors in the local area.
The necessary components are manufactured in a small area close to each other. Creating a local ecosystem
around Palad is part of the bedrock of our concept.

We have chosen to make the world around us a more harmonious, beautiful and functional place.
That’s why we design furniture that is both aesthetically pleasing, practical and, above all, responsible.
Responsibility is part of our design philosophy:

An Empathic footprint  is the positive impact we leave on the world
through empathy, collaboration and sustainable design.

Our mission is to improve people’s lives. We leave an empathic footprint
by creating better and more sustainable spaces, experiences and environments.

Ecological responsibility

The cornerstone of Palad’s ecological credentials is user-centred design: we don’t design anything in vain,
everything is designed for what is needed. We manufacture sustainable furniture in North Savo, Finland.
Our furniture is repairable, restorable and adaptable to ensure a long life cycle.
At the end of their life cycle, products can be recycled.

We use locally sourced materials, as natural as possible,
such as responsibly produced Finnish wood.
We are also constantly exploring new ways to make our furniture more sustainable.

Social  responsibility

Palad is a brand for all shapes and sizes. We create furniture for spaces from large to small, for people from short to tall
– and everything in between. We want to create meaningful furniture and thus be involved in
developing the world, building a more tolerant society, increasing positive encounters between people.

Palad furniture can used to create oases of well-being where people feel comfortable and well.
And where everyone can come as themselves.

We want to work together to develop and support the local business network
by using local companies and materials in the manufacture of our products.

We are also involved in charitable activities with our AID product range. Proceeds from product sales
are directed to charitable causes, currently SOS Children’s Village and Kapua.
