Wed 21 May 2025 (10:00–13:30 / 15:30) – Kuopio 60+ | Culture by Foot

• A memorable spring trip in Kuopio! Enjoy an inspiring cultural walk through the city center. The day includes a visit to MusaMaja at the Kuopio Museum, a self-paid lunch, and a journey into architecture, public art, and design created by Partanen & Lamusuo Ltd. – all explored on foot and enriched with stories.
• The day ends with a yoga session at 13:30 at Palad Showroom, suitable for all levels. Before yoga, light refreshments will be served, and the event wraps up with a calming cup of tea.Learn more about this wonderful event here.

• Get into the festive spirit with dance and art! These cultural pre-party vibes bring together art lovers for an inspiring exchange of thoughts about dance, art, and the meaning of culture – all in a light, bubbly atmosphere around a long table. Fri 13 June 2025 (10:30–14:00) – ALIEN / Minimi Open Rehearsals at Palad Showroom

• Come and observe open rehearsals for Tanssiteatteri Minimi’s ALIEN dance performance at Palad Showroom during Kuopio Dance Festival week.
  ALIEN – Kuopio is a pop-up dance performance choreographed by Taneli Törmä, premiering in Kuopio in autumn 2025 as part of the Kuopio250 Jubilee Year and the M_itä? Biennale of Contemporary Art.

• 18:00–19:30 | Cultural Walk through the city, departing from the Showroom. Free entry – come experience the culture and the city as part of the World Orienteering Championships!

• Reaching Kuopio’s peaks – connect and get inspired!
  Kuopio Cup brings thousands of young players, families, and volunteers to the region – and now there’s a unique experience also for decision-makers! Join a relaxed tour highlighting some of Kuopio’s most iconic companies and international-level expertise. Featured: Partanen & Lamusuo, Lignell & Piispanen, Ahoy Creative, and RPS Brewhouse.

• Join us for a late-summer bike tour blending art, architecture, and urban culture.
  The ride starts at Palad Showroom at 14:00 and ends at LUOLA, artist Pauno Pohjolainen’s exhibition space, by 16:30.
  Along the way, we will stop at inspiring cultural spots – expect stories, shared experiences, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Mon 27 October 2025 (11:00–12:30) – ALIEN / Minimi Performance at Palad Showroom

• Experience ALIEN, a powerful dance performance by Tanssiteatteri Minimi, choreographed by Taneli Törmä, at Palad Showroom.
  Premiering in Kuopio in autumn 2025 as part of Kuopio250 Jubilee Year and the M_itä? Biennale of Contemporary Art. Since 2019, ALIEN has been created in five countries with local dancers. It is a tribute to dancing in public space and the freedom of movement, inspired by club and folk dance traditions.
